Every year, CCLL fields All-Star teams to represent our league and showcase the talents of the very best that CCLL has to offer. There are two types of All-Star tournaments: District and Invitational. Between those two tournaments, CCLL typically provides the opportunity for over 1/4 of the league participants to represent our league’s talents on one or more of the ALL Star teams.  For more information on our Tournament Team selection process, click here: 2024 CCLL Tournament Selection Process.

District

District All Stars make up a single team that represents a specific age group of players. These teams compete in the official Little League International Tournament coordinated and run by Virginia District 5. Important Note - A player must register to be eligible for selection to a District All-Star Team.  Registration dates TBD.  District All Stars are selected through a lengthy process that includes voting by the players in the respective league (with exception of 7 & 8 Year Olds), recommendation by the Managers & Coaches in the respective league, with the final roster spots selected by the District Team Manager through a tryout process. Tryout dates and locations TBD.  Tournament Rules are used in lieu of the Regular Season Rules. District Tournaments are typically double elimination.  This year Tuckahoe Little League is hosting all levels of the District Tournament.  Specific game schedules should be available in early June.  In 2025, CCLL plans to participate in the following District All-Star Tournaments:

Practices will begin in late May.  Winners of the 7 & 8 Coach Pitch tournament will continue to a State Sectional Tournament TBD. Winners of 8 - 10 Minor and 9-11 Minor District Tournaments will advance to a State Tournament.  Winners of 10-12 Major, Intermediate, Junior, & Senior will advance to a State Tournament with possible further advancement to a Regional Tournament and the Little League World Series.  Please click HERE for Virginia State/Regional/World Series dates and locations.

Invitational All Stars make up a single team that represents a specific age group and play in Tournaments hosted by individual Little Leagues within the District.  Important Note - A player must register to be eligible for selection to an Invitational All-Star Team.  Registration dates TBD.   Invitational All Stars are selected through a process that includes voting by the players in the respective league (with the exception of 6, 7 & 8 Year Olds), recommendation by the Managers & Coaches in the respective league, with the final roster spots selected by the Invitational Team Manager through a tryout process (with exception of the 6-7 Year Old Coach Pitch Team).  These Tournaments typically use Tournament Rules, but may relax some of the requirements to allow more participation from all the players. The purpose of the Invitational Tournaments is to provide the opportunity for more players to participate in the Little League tournament experience.  Invitational Tournaments are typically pool play with a guarantee of at least 3 or 4 games.  In 2025, CCLL plans to participate in the following Invitational All-Star Tournaments:

• Coach Pitch Tournament (6 - 7 who played at the Coach Pitch level) Bethlehem Little League, Dates (TBD Late July)
• Machine Pitch Baseball (7-8 who played at Coach Pitch or Minor level) Huguenot Little League, Dates (TBD Mid July)
• Minor Baseball  (8-9 who played at the Minor level) Atlee Little League, Dates (TBD Late July)
• Minor Baseball (9-10 who played at the Minor or Major level) Ashland Little League, Dates (TBD Late July)
• Major Baseball (11-12 who played at the Major or Intermediate 50/70 level) Tuckahoe Little League, Dates (TBD Late July)

Practices will begin in mid-June.  While each Invitational Tournament will crown a Champion, the winning team does not advance to any further tournaments.
