 When CLL's 13 year old All-Star Tournament was cancelled due to lack of participation, the two remaining teams (including our own) wanted to enter the CCLL 14/15 year old Tournament. Against the advice of many, the teams entered the Tournament, faced the older teams, and not only competed, but our boys actually won! In fact, they won a LOT. In fact, they WON THE TOURNAMENT. Congratulations to Jeff Elder's 13 year old team, beating Atlee in the Tournament final and taking home the trophies.

 Justin Roth and Grayson Kirby pitched strong 6 innings keeping Atlee off balance for much of the game. Stellar team defense held Atlee to only 6 runs. The offense was powered by a 2 run homerun by Wendell Davis and 3 hits by Ryan Polino. In a thrilling finish, Grayson Kirby forced Atlee to line out to first baseman Jack Barnett to make CCLL the tournament champions as they defeated Atlee 7-6. Team members are Justin Roth, Jack Brockwell, Sam Marshall, Ryan Polino, Tyler Warren, Blake Correa, Grayson Kirby, Jack Barnett, Wendell Davis, Ryan Spencer, Carson Dance, Drew Lawson, and Kyle Custis. The team was managed by Bob Polino with coaches Brock Barnett, Kelly Custis, and Mike Marshall. Congratulations CCLL - 2011 10-Year Old Invitational Tournament Champions!

Sean Evaro pitched a strong 6 innings yielding only 2 earned runs before turning it over to Jacob Carver for the final inning and the two combined to keep CCLL American in the game and only trailing by one run heading into the bottom of the 7th inning versus Tuckahoe Big League. In a thrilling finish, Austin Lafoon hit a walk-off grand slam to hand CCLL American the District V Big League Championship. Team members are Aaron Bouchard, Jacob Carver, Charles Clark, Trey Clark, Corey Cullop, Brian Eck, Sean-Evan Evaro, Rylie Johnson, Austin Lafoon, Martin, Michael Moore, Michael Moss, Cody Perry, and Ian Splisgardt. The team was managed by Todd Perry with coaches Troy Perry, Vic Evaro, Lynn Moss and Chuck Hoever. Congratulations CCLL American - 2011 District V Big League Champions! |
